From the Dutch province of Friesland where the art of chip carving has been practiced for generations comes this Frisian Art Deco picture frame.The frame measures 9 1/2" by 6", the front of the picture opening is 3 1/2" by 2".
Outstandingly carved and with great color and wonderful patina. In good condition, consistent with its circa 1920 vintage normal and expected wear is present as shown. The frame is not perfectly flat only seen upon close examination.
